Jeff Drazan, Chairman of the Board
Jeff is a Managing Director of Sierra Ventures, a Menlo Park, Calif., venture capital fund. At Sierra, Jeff's investment practice focuses on information technology with primary focus on telecommunications. In addition to FrontBridge Technologies' board, he also serves on several other boards including American Fiber Systems, Vina Technologies, Evolve Software, NP Photonics, Theravance, Valere Power and Meriton Networks.
Prior to joining the venture capital community, Jeff held several management positions with AT&T. He was among the first group of employees chosen by AT&T to start American Bell, the company's first unregulated subsidiary.
Jeff holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Princeton University and an MBA from New York University.
Barry Waitte, Director
Barry is the Managing Partner of Waitte Ventures, an angel venture firm focused on Internet infrastructure and enterprise companies. Barry has more than 20 years experience in the technology industry with senior manager roles at AOL, Medior, and Apple Computer. In addition to FrontBridge Technologies' board, he also serves on several other boards and advises companies within his venture portfolio.
Barry holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and an MBA from UC Berkeley.
Mark Fernandes, Director
Mark Fernandes is a Venture Partner at Sierra Ventures. His investment focus is on infrastructure software including security, storage and systems management. He serves on the Board of Directors at Sourcefire and FrontBridge.
Mark joined Sierra in 2002 from Merrill Lynch, where he was a Director in the Software Research Group. His research coverage included companies like Veritas Software, Check Point, VeriSign, Networks Associates, Internet Security Systems, and Quest Software. Prior to that, Mark was a product manager in the disk drive division at Seagate Technology and in the core switching group at Cisco Systems. He was also part of the founding team of PanoCorp Systems, a flat panel display company.
Mark holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Rory O'Driscoll, Director
Rory is a Managing Director for Bank of America Venture Partners. Rory applies more than 15 years of entrepreneurial and corporate development experience to building highly successful BAVP companies.
Rory focuses on building new internet infrastructure and eCommerce software and services enterprises. He serves on the Board of Directors of FrontBridge, OuterBay, Pavilion, INNOViON, Picolight, Contivo, Moonlight Systems, and Net6, and is responsible for BAVP investments in PlaceWare, Altra, eGroups, Connect, NetGenesis, IPAC, MobileSys, Zone Labs, and Tripwire.
Prior to joining BA Venture Partners, Rory worked in Corporate Development at Bank of America. Previously, Rory was the founder and CEO of Mercia Ltd., a manufacturing business in the United Kingdom. Rory studied accounting and economics at the London School of Economics.
Steve Jillings, Director
Steve brings more than 20 years of business building experience to FrontBridge, specifically in the areas of corporate finance, sales, marketing, and technology. Steve joined FrontBridge in March 2002 and has been responsible for taking the company from a startup to a global leader in managed messaging services. Steve is tasked with driving the company's strategic direction and growth, including a primary strategic goal of building a broad portfolio of services combined with a large global distribution footprint. Steve and his team have executed on that goal. Prior to FrontBridge, Steve was a co-founder and Executive Vice President of Voyus Ltd, a recurring revenue IT services company based in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in March, 1998, Voyus grew to more than 225 employees and $22 million in service revenues within 24 months. Prior to that, Steve was President of the CRI Group of Companies, comprising four National Services firms that were sold to a Texas-based public company in 1997. Steve has been responsible for seven start ups throughout his career, taking them from inception to commercialization and eventual liquidity.
